RhönEnergie Fulda GmbH was founded as a result of the merger between Gas- und Wasserversorgung Fulda GmbH (GWV) and Überlandwerk Fulda AG. The company is active throughout Germany and is a high-performing regional supplier of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to around 300,000 private consumers as well as to numerous companies in the region.
The aim of the project was to optimise the meter installation process with the focus on value creation (LEAN). adesso developed a concept for the meter installation process that fully automates the installation of meters in SAP IS-U. The concept features a system of indicators that measures process performance.
Optimising the meter installation process significantly reduces the employee’s workload and thereby reduces costs. Furthermore, there are fewer ways in which errors can arise, which means corrective follow-up work is seldom required.
