adesso launches UK subsidiary

IT service provider adesso is continuing its expansion to the UK by establishing a branch in London. Including the latest national subsidiary, adesso UK Limited, adesso is now represented in 14 countries around Europe, taking it one step closer to the goal of establishing itself as a leading IT service provider Europe-wide. The UK subsidiary will initially focus on supplying companies in the UK with attractive near-shore and offshore offerings from the adesso Group’s global supply network.

The adesso SmartShore model, which was created specifically for near-shore and offshore services, offers software development for IT projects by bringing together highly specialised teams from various national adesso subsidiaries on an agile basis, aligned toward specific challenges. Sophisticated IT projects are supported by international teams made up of IT professionals from Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain and India, among others, at the various SmartShore offices operated by the adesso Group as part of its global network.

In the UK, adesso will be working with companies to carry out near-shoring and offshoring software development projects in a bid to counter the striking shortage of IT professionals in that country, offer cost advantages and drive adoption of new and digital technologies as a whole.

Libero Raspa named Director adesso UK

adesso recently appointed Libero Raspa as the Director of adesso UK, where he will be leading the sales-focused business in the United Kingdom. With extensive international experience, Raspa joined the company in March 2023, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the team.

Previously, Raspa held the position of Head of Europe Sales Strategy & Operations at agoda, an online tech company that is part of Booking Holdings. In that role, he was responsible for managing markets in the UK, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Eastern Europe, among others. Prior to his time at agoda, Raspa worked as a Delivery Manager at IBM.

Libero Raspa is well-versed in the UK market and its unique characteristics. He has an extensive network of contacts across various industries where adesso also operates. He describes his new role at the adesso Group, which currently has over 8,000 employees Europe-wide (in FTE) and posted 900 million euros in sales in 2022: “At adesso, we offer highly professional and experienced teams that can carry out challenging, distributed shoring projects. Expansion to the UK market marks an important phase in the company’s ongoing internationalisation. Burak Bari, Director of Internationalisation at adesso, is also the location manager at subsidiary adesso Turkey, in Istanbul, which has already been the lead partner in numerous international shoring projects. Bari views the establishment of adesso UK as “a big opportunity to reach out to customers with the SmartShore idea outside the German-speaking countries for the first time and offer the entire adesso portfolio there.”
